About Us

We are a full-service law firm based in Zamboanga City. We also work with clients from all over the Zamboanga Peninsula and its surrounding areas, including Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

 

The firm's founding partner is Atty. Juan Climaco P. Elago II, who has more than 30 years of experience in criminal litigation, property law, and election law. He graduated from Western Mindanao State University, where he also teaches Property Law. He specializes in property disputes and land recovery cases. He is also a licensed real estate broker and has a wide experience in land valuation, land transfers, and the settlement of estate.

 

On the other hand, Atty. Maria Pilar Luisa C. Elago graduated from Ateneo de Manila University Law School with a Corporate and Business Law track, focusing on Intellectual Property Law. She teaches Intellectual Property Law in the Western Mindanao State University and manages its Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) office. She is experienced the registration and prosecution of copyrights, trademarks, and patents, and has been trained in IP Valuation, IP Licensing, and IP Commercialization.

Property law

Property law is involved in regulating the various forms of ownership in real property and personal property. It also provides the principles and rules by which disputes over property are to be resolved.

Our lawyers can assist in land acquisition, land transfers, extrajudicial settlement of estate, reconstitution of lost titles, litigation of conflicting land claims, fraudulent titles, inheritance issues, and other realty concerns.

 

Criminal Law

Criminal Law is a field which aims to punish those who has committed acts against the state, in accordance with the Revised Penal Code and other special penal laws. It is meant to deter acts which are considered harmful to the general public, its property, or morality.

We serve as defense lawyers in criminal litigation to provide legal advice and representation to clients who have been charged with criminal offenses in order to ensure that their rights and interests are protected. We also serve as private prosecutors in cases where it is necessary to intervene to assist the fiscal in the prosecution of a crime committed against a client.

Election Law

Election Law is a branch of law that regulates the democratic process. It involves the voting registration process, campaign requirements compliance, filing of candidacy issues, and vote counting disputes.
